Health & Safety nonsense

We took the kids to the 'Christmas Wonderland' in Edinburgh this morning. One of the things that our elder daughter was looking forward to was getting candy floss. So after a ride on the carousel we approached the man who was making balls of candyfloss and putting them in bags...

"Two sticks of candyfloss please"

"Sorry, I can't sell you candyfloss on sticks anymore, only in bags. For health & safety reasons. I've been doing this for 21 years and have never known anyone to hurt themselves with a stick... but that's the new rules"
